Tryouts

Tryouts are for VSV coaches to assess each players current skill level and athletic abilities and placing them in the correct skill group for the season. We encourage everyone  to bring friends and siblings to the tryouts to see if playing sand volleyball is a good fit for you.  It is a great opportunity to see how we run our practices and how our coaches interact with the players.

The Intermediate skill group is for players who have the basic skills of volleyball or players that have never played beach volleyball and want to learn.  At this tryout you will be instructed on some of the differences between sand and indoor volleyball.  It will be a good workout and a lot of volleyball fun.  You do not have to come to tryouts in order to register.  Registration for the intermediate skill group is already open.  See the link below.

The Advanced skill group is for players with higher skill sets and/or have been playing sand for a couple of years.  We encourage anyone to tryout but we will only select players with higher skill levels and/or athletic abilities.  This will ensure a better environment for everyone.  We create these skill divisions to offer better training sessions for each group.  At the end of the Advanced tryout selected players will get a link for registration.

Players can and have been moved into the Advanced group during the season if they demonstrate the proper skills.  We look forward to seeing everyone at tryouts and to an amazing season of sand volleyball.
